I moved to Prague from the United States (Philadelphia), leaving behind my source of knitting help & companion in all things crafty (my mom), along with all the fabulous local yarn shops in the Philadelphia area.

Knitting is my favorite thing to do and I became frustrated at not being able to find everything I need. I also wish I had someone around to help me with difficult patterns, or just to hang out and talk crafts (because while my very patient & encouraging boyfriend loves the stuff I make, he doesn’t know a knit from a purl and his eyes glaze over as I hold up the 50th ball of yarn asking for his opinion on it’s worthiness of becoming a scarf).

So I’m attempting to create a network of crafty people here in Prague. While I primarily knit & crochet, anyone is welcome - needlepoint, cross stitch, weaving, glass etching whatever.

This site and the forum will be geared towards Prague, cause… well, that’s where I am. But I still list resources, etc for my hometown - and in sections of the forum where you share projects, ask for help, etc, it doesn’t really matter where you are, so jump in!

For those of you in Prague, we’ll use the forums for anyone who wants to meet up, etc.
